VALUE MANAGEMENT
Value management is a proven, creative technique designed to increase the value of a project, product or organization by identifying and eliminating unnecessary costs.
Identification is achieved by analyzing the requirements of the project in order to fulfill all the essential functions at the lowest total costs (capital, staffing, energy, and maintenance) over the expected life of the project.
In simple terms, the Value Management Job Plan addresses six basic questions concerning the project:
- What is it?
- What does it do?
- What does it cost?
- What else will do it?
- Will that work?
- What will that cost?
Many design consultants will state that they apply this philosophy continously to all their projects, and, of course, most professionals atrive to give their clients good value for money. However, unless the principles and methods of the Job Plan are applied, they are not practicing Value Management.
It is also possible for the project team to get too close to a project. In providing answers to the six questions above, addressed to all elements of a project, Value Management offers an independent and entirely objective viewpoint, often addressing many issues which have been excluded from the designer's brief, the resolution of which brings substantial benefits to the project.
PROMIS VALUE MANAGEMENT SERVICE
PROMIS Value Management service is designed to improve both short and long-term value while retaining or enhancing quality, scope and performance.
TIMING - Value Management may be applied at any stage of a project's progress but is more effective at early planning and design phases, e.g., program, concept, and schematic design.
In essence, the service embraces three specific disciplines:
Value Analysis - Applying Value Management techniques to improve an existing product, process or organization.
Value Engineering - Applying the same techniques during the design and implementation stages of a project or process.
Value Training - Providing awareness trainingsso clients can reap the full benefits of Value Management. Also, assisting clients to implement their own Value Management programs.

COST ESTIMATING
Rapidly advancing technology, increasing project complexity, and competitive pressures demand better Cost Estimation and Economic Evaluation of projects, processes, products, or services, whether developing new ones or improving existing ones. Successful engineers and managers must use modern Cost Estimating and Economic Evaluation Techniques to select the optimum mix of projects for today's cost-conscious environment. Accurate project Cost Estimates and Investment Evaluations are critical to staying competitive and optimizing organizational resources.
PROMIS scope in Cost Estimating Services is to prepare, review, approve Cost Estimates and Economic Evaluations in design, manufacturing, process, and capital projects. Our methodology ensures production of accurate Cost Estimates and Investment Evaluations to avoid large cost overruns or unsatisfactory investment returns, whether the project budget is a few thousand dollars or millions of dollars.

PROJECT RISK MANAGEMENT
Construction projects are characterized as very complex projects, where uncertainty comes from various sources. Construction projects gather together hundreds of stakeholders, which makes it difficult to study a network as a whole. But at the same time, these projects offer an ideal environment for network and risk management research. Additionally, construction projects are frequently used in management research, and several different tools and techniques have already been developed and especially for this type of project. However, there is a gap between risk management techniques and their practical application by construction contractors.
Although there are expectations, many development projects encounter cost overruns and schedule slippage, and some also have performance degradations. Such development problems can lead to adverse impacts during the production phase as well.
Risk Management is essential for a wide variety of development and production programs because certain information about key project cost, performance, and schedule, attributes can often uncertain or unknown until late in the program.
For these reasons, PROMIS seeks to maximize the probability and consequences of positive events and to minimize the probability and consequences of adverse events. Our goal is to prevent or reduce risk in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality or harming the mission. We will also help you to decide whether the strategies you could use to control risk are cost-effective.
PROMIS’ Risk Management Services will help your organization to the:
- Development Risk Management Plan
- Identification of Risks
- Qualification of Project Risks
- Quantification of the exposure of Project Risks
- Evaluation and development of Risk Response Plans
- Implementation of the Risk Response Plans
- Management, monitoring and controlling Risks

DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Dispute Resolution can have a disruptive effect on any construction project.
To diminish this effect, the purpose of our services is:
The ultimate aim of PROMIS is:
- Show our clients the positive and practical steps that can be taken both at the outset and during the contract to prevent and minimise the number of claims. These steps can do much to reduce the potential sources of disputes that can so easily have a damaging effect on the project and the progress of work.
To teach methods and techniques for dealing with any claims that do arise -techniques directed at the early and sensible resolution of claims so they do not result in bitter disputes that are costly in time, effort, and funds.
In essence, the role of PROMIS in contract and claims is
(1) how to avoid, wherever possible, the causes of claims;
(2) how to deal with justifiable claims; including their preparation, submission, analysis, defence, and negotiation;
(3) how to defy or challenge unjustified claims, and
(4) how to prepare counter claims.
