Dr. Ibrahim Al-Kattan

Dr. Al Kattan is an Ex-Director and founder of one of the most successful graduate program in United Arab Emirates, Engineering Systems Management at American University of Sharjah. The program intended to integrate the managerial and engineering skills.  Dr. Al Kattan has over thirty years of experience as a trainer and teacher, researcher, consultant in engineering management, quality management, simulation and modeling and supply chain and facility management in USA, UK, UAE, and Iraq.

Dr. Kattan conducted and led many technical workshops. He is the original developer of highly successful workshops in Simulation, Quality Control, and Facility design and Planning for Corporations such as Rockwell International, TRW, Raytheon, Texas Instrument, Alberox, Genzyme, Aerovox and Carrier.  In UAE he developed a partnership and training courses for Dubai Municipality, ADGAS, ADNOC and the UAE Armed Forces. He has recieved a grant from Transportation Department at Dubai Municilipaty for a consulting project.

He has a Ph.D. in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from Tennessee Technological University-USA, and two Master degrees; a MS in Industrial Engineering & Management from Oklahoma State University-USA, and another MS in Engineering Production and Management from Birmingham University-UK.  Dr. Kattan was an active faculty associate with "Center of Excellence", Center for Manufacturing Research at Tennessee Technological University over ten years. He was an associate professor and an active member at Advanced Technology & Manufacturing Center at University of Massachusetts for six years.
