Dr. Azzam obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD in chemical engineering at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He served as a chairman for the Dept. of Chem. Eng. at Jordan University of Science & Technology (JUST). He has worked as a consultant for NASA, USA. In addition, he worked as an assistant professor of chemical engineering at Cleveland State University, USA. Dr. Azzam has taught many courses relevant to the industry, such as: Plant Design, Equipment Design, Petroleum Refining Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Electrochemical Engineering. Moreover, he taught several laboratories such as Petroleum, Corrosion, Unit Operations, Fluid Mechanics, Chemical Measurements and Testing Labs, in addition to Heat Transfer Lab. Dr. Azzam has supervised many plant design projects, such as: oxalic acid, acetic acid, potassium sulfate, urea, vinyl chloride, styrene monomer, and chlorine plants. He supervised several M.Sc’s. Dr. Azzam is a winner of the 2001 contest for best proposal at JUST in the field of water. |
