Mike O'Rourke qualified at Liverpool University with an Honours degree in Eectric Power Engineering. Since then he has built up 25 years experience as an electrical building services engineer in both design and maintenance. For the past 78 years he has been Principal Building Services Engineer at Manchester Metropolitan University, one of the largest universities in the UK. In this capacity he is responsible for design and maintnenance policy for the electrical installations in the university buildings and estates.
For the last ten years he has been preparing and presenting lectures on wiring regulations, electrical maintenance, electrical safety and inspection and testing. He is conversant with the practical problems encountered during design, operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
Mike is currently Chairman of the UK IEE North West Centre Power Section. |
